Daywise Tour Itinerary

Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, your Tour Manager will meet you and ensure a smooth transition to the hotel or the sightseeing spot, as per the itinerary.

Rise early to witness the spectacular sunrise at Tiger Hill, where the first golden rays of the sun light up the snow-covered peaks of Mt. Kanchenjunga and even glimpses of Mount Everest on clear days. Tiger Hill is not only a breathtaking viewpoint but also a site of historical significance, having served as a strategic observation point during World War II. On your way back, stop at the Batasia Loop, a unique spiral railway that offers panoramic views of Darjeeling town, rolling hills, and lush tea gardens. Continue to the Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest Tibetan monasteries in the region, where the tranquil surroundings and traditional Buddhist architecture provide a serene spiritual experience.

After returning to the hotel for a hearty breakfast, continue your exploration with a visit to:

After sightseeing, return to the hotel and unwind. In the evening, stroll around Mall Road and Chowrasta at your own pace.

Today we proceed to Gangtok, a charming hill city nestled amidst the lush Himalayan ranges. The route offers breathtaking views of verdant valleys, terraced hills, and tea gardens, with crisp mountain air and serene landscapes creating a tranquil and refreshing environment. The journey itself is a visual treat, passing through picturesque villages, streams, and panoramic viewpoints that perfectly capture the natural beauty of Sikkim.

En-route, we head to Namchi to visit the Chardham Temple, also known as Siddheshwar Dham, home to one of the tallest statues of Lord Shiva. Nearby, the Samdruptse Monastery features the impressive 135-foot statue of Guru Padmasambhava, attracting devotees and tourists alike. The day offers the chance to immerse in the local culture, and in the evening, we enjoy a vibrant folk dance performance, showcasing Sikkimese traditions and customs.

For guests interested in exploring further, there are optional add-on visits available at extra charges, including Namchi town, Samdruptse Monastery, and Timi Tea Garden, where visitors can enjoy scenic walks and tea tasting experiences.

After a hearty breakfast, set out for a full day of sightseeing in and around Gangtok, where culture, spirituality, and natural beauty blend seamlessly.

Start your day with a visit to Tashi View Point, a serene spot that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic Kanchenjunga range, especially on clear mornings. Continue to Bakthang Waterfalls, a beautiful cascading waterfall surrounded by lush greenery, perfect for nature photography and relaxation.

Next, explore the Do Drul Chorten Stupa, one of the most important Buddhist shrines in Sikkim, followed by visits to Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok—hilltop temples offering not only spiritual solace but also mesmerizing vistas of Gangtok town and the surrounding hills.

Discover the spiritual charm of Enchey Monastery, a 200-year-old Buddhist monastery that showcases traditional architecture and peaceful surroundings. Then, visit the Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom, where you can witness exquisite local craftsmanship and shop for authentic Sikkimese souvenirs.

Take a leisurely walk through the Gangtok Flower Show, a vibrant display of native and exotic flora, and deepen your understanding of Tibetan culture at the Institute of Tibetology, a renowned center for Tibetan studies and culture.

Experience the city from above on the Gangtok Ropeway, offering aerial views of the cityscape, hills, and valleys. End your day with a visit to the Banjhakri Falls, a picturesque waterfall set amidst a lush forest park, where you can enjoy nature trails and the refreshing atmosphere.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic excursion to the Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake located at an altitude of 12,310 feet. The lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, changes colors with the seasons and offers a mesmerizing view. Next, visit the nearby Baba Harbhajan Mandir, a shrine dedicated to an Indian army soldier who is believed to protect the region. If weather and permits allow, you may also visit Nathula Pass (optional, at extra cost). Return to Gangtok by evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Tsomgo Lake: Also known as Changu Lake, Tsomgo is a glacial lake located at an altitude of 12,400 ft in Sikkim. It holds great cultural and religious significance for the local Bhutia and Lepcha communities, who consider it sacred. The lake remains partially frozen during winter, creating a stunning, serene landscape. Visitors can enjoy yak rides and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Baba Mandir: The Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, popularly called Baba Mandir, is dedicated to a soldier of the Indian Army who is believed to guard the region even after his death. The temple is a symbol of faith, devotion, and bravery, attracting devotees and tourists alike. It is located near the Nathula Pass and is especially known for its unique story of a “living soldier” whose spirit is said to protect travelers in the area.

Nathula PassNathula Pass, at 14,140 feet near Gangtok, was a key trade route on the ancient Silk Route between India and Tibet. Closed after the 1962 Sino-Indian War, it reopened for limited trade in 2006. Today, it serves as a strategic Indo-China border point, offering breathtaking views, snow-covered peaks, and army posts. Only Indian nationals with permits can visit, making it a historically rich and restricted high-altitude destination.

After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and begin our scenic drive from Gangtok to Kalimpong, a charming hill town known for its colonial heritage, monasteries, and panoramic views of the Teesta River and surrounding hills. The route is dotted with lush mountain landscapes, terraced fields, and winding roads, offering a visual treat at every turn.

En-route, we stop at the Teesta River for a thrilling adventure of white water rafting, where you can experience the excitement of gliding through rapids amidst stunning natural surroundings. The river’s crystal-clear waters, flanked by dense forests and towering hills, make this an unforgettable and adrenaline-pumping experience.
